Grim Reaper's Eulogy
I really enjoyed Gordon Biersch's Fest Bier, which also happens to be in the Marzen/Octoberfest style. The trouble is, this one is a straight up Marzen, and it failed to deliver. It was a bit harsh and more bitter than expected for the style. Could have been mishandled. Could be that it's about 6 months past Octoberfest deliveries. Hmmm. Will have to try another time this year.
So what's a guy to do when Marzens are one of his all-time favorite styles? Nothing to do except go dig up one that will please. Sorry, not this time.
