Postmortem Brew Review
Black color with tints of red highlights.
Mild roasted malt and grain smells.

Clean and fresh tasting roasted malt flavor.

Very little carbonation.
Minimal head retention. Very little lace.
Thin but not watery with very light body.

Grim Reaper's Eulogy

A tall dark and handsome stranger made my acquaintance this week. A big and bold looking half-liter bottle with a pretty foil neck wrapper. The flavor is easy for such a dark looking beer and then there is the light 3.8% ABV, making it even easier to go down. Don't let the 16.9 ounces or the dark color fool you into thinking this is heavy and unsessionable. It's quite the opposite.

The malts are smoky and roasted as you would expect from a dark or Schwarzbier. Enjoy it. The folks at Krusovice have been at the art of making beer since the 16th century, so you can rest assured they have a good handle on how to brew.
