Postmortem Brew Review
Cloudy, orange/amber color.
Citrus hops on the nose. Cedar does come through once the liquid warms up a bit.
Off-white, two finger head that hangs around a while.
Sticky, stringy lacing adheres to the inside of the glass.
Citrus (orange) hops flavored. Woody cedar tones shine through.
Modest amount of carbonation.
Medium bodied mouth feel with a cling of cedar and hops flavor to the tongue.
Grim Reaper's Eulogy
No cigar jokes. No cedar or wood snark. This, boys and girls, is how you make a multi-award winning IPA. One GABF gold medal in 2009 and a silver in 2010.
It is citrusy, hoppy and cedar-y just like it claims, all in tremendous balance. If you fancy an IPA the next trip to Florida, go and see the boys at Cigar City and order up a Humidor IPA. Utterly fantastic and pure joy for your senses.
